Remember, most of these recipes are flexible. Experiment with different amounts of garlic, chilli, salt, etc until the recipe becomes your own.

You can't beat a fresh homemade pasta sauce,
try it once and you'll never buy that stuff in jars again!

This one takes a bit longer, but well worth the effort.
Make it in advance (without the final ovening stage)
if you're having a dinner party and pop it in the oven
when the doorbell goes!
Serve with chips (if you're feeling a bit naughty)
and a decent salad.

Nice and easy this one, if you've got the time
it's really worth the effort to have freshly made soup.
Can be prepared in advance and reheated if entertaining,
also can be frozen so make a big batch and you'll have
super-quick soup whenever you want it.

Long day at work? Cold and raining outside?
Need something comforting? Don't reach for the chocolate,
make some winter warming rice!

A nice intro to making curries, this one can either be
used as a main dish or as a side serving.

What a way to start (or end) the day!

Pizzas don't have to be unhealthy.
Load these ones up with vegetables and
even the kids will be asking for more.

This adds a lot of flavour to a roast dinner
but is great on it's own too.

Go back to your childhood with these soldier dips.
(No bib required!)

Sick of spaghetti with the same old tomato sauce?
Try this. If you don't like aubergine try roasted peppers instead.

This is a nice summer or late night snack
if you don't fancy a heavy meal.
It's healthy too!
